West Ham have signed Jesse Lingard from Manchester United in a deal that runs until the end of the season, with the 28-year-old given the No.11 shirt for the Hammers.
Lingard has made more than 200 appearances for the Red Devils and is looking to revive his career at the London Stadium under his former manager David Moyes, who worked with him at Old Trafford in the 2013/14 season.
Speaking to West Ham TV Lingard said: "I’m excited, it’s another new chapter in my life. Nothing is guaranteed but I’ve come here to work hard and help the team and bring my experience.
"That’s the main aim. I just want to enjoy my football and get back playing again and get my feet back on the pitch."
Lingard has struggled for game time this season, featuring in only two League Cup games and one FA Cup match, but his big-match experience could prove invaluable to the Hammers as they aim for a European spot.
