While chairman Ralph Krueger insisted neither midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin nor England striker Jay Rodriguez will be leaving, Spurs are closing in on a £30million double-swoop.
The Mirror says defenders Nathaniel Clyne and Jose Fonte and midfielder Jack Cork are ready to follow Adam Lallana, Luke Shaw, Rickie Lambert, Dejan Lovren and Calum Chambers out of the door, putting further strain on new Saints boss Ronald Koeman.
Krueger insisted: "Schneiderlin and Rodriguez are part of the core that we have the intention of keeping at Southampton.
"They're not for sale and are part of the club entering the season, in and around the rest of the core players excited to build forward."
