Gazzetta dello Sport says United are willing to smash their previous transfer record to lure Vidal to Old Trafford.
It is understood that United have offered Juventus a whopping £47.5m to part with the Chile World Cup star.
United are also willing to double the 27-year-old's current salary, by offering him a bumper four-year £120,000-a-week deal.
Vidal's representative, Fernando Felicevich, will hold crunch talks with Juventus today and, according to the report, will demand they match United's offer or let his client leave.
